We liked the hotel, service and location, it's nice place to stay. Adjacent to the downtown, 15 minutes on foot. Booked king suite with climate control, a laptop-size safe and a work desk. In addition, Wi Fi worked fine, and there was private parking onsite. Recommend for everyone.
The locaiton was awesome, walking distance to `` Jacksons `` restaurant. The free breakfast
It was very clean, complementary drinks with snacks is offered and close to the trolley station
The room was set up well for our use, the location was city convenient and the Breakfast tto order was very tasty. I did not like the fact that I had to pay for parking in the Hotel's parking lot.
Parking fee was not appreciated
We had a corner room on the 20th floor. It was really nice. The trolley stop outside the hotel was very convenient for us to taketo Ybor City for the music concert.
I did not like the fact that you charge for wifi access. I think that should be free to guests. I loved the free breakfast, but I would like to see grits added to the menu.
Compare to the nearest neighbor hotel, the Embassy Suites TDCC has two separate rooms TV for each room microwave free of charge evening guest reception everyday! fine breakfast including order to cook omelet!
I stayed here for a business at the Convention Center for a week. There were a little number of restaurant by walk in this area. Of course, if you have 15 minutes of trolley-train time to Ybor city, you can find variety of restaurants. Thus, if the hotel provides free train ride coupon, it will be welcomed by the guests.
I like the hotel very much, its spatial suit rooms, very convenient for any traveler(s). We had an international conference in the nearby Convention Center, and I liked that there was a direct skywalk to it, very convenient. Sometimes a couple of people from the conference came to my room and we had a small meeting. My wife was traveling with me and took a number of interesting tours while I was at the meetings. There was a lot to see around. We also liked very much excellent complimentary breakfasts every day and complementary afternoon drinks every day. The weather was good and we had great time. Hotel's location is excellent: in downtown and near the river. It was nice to walk along the river in the evening.
I shared my suite with another conference participant. He used the sofa-bed in the "living room"; I got the bedroom. The bedroom door provided good acoustic separation between the rooms. There was one bathroom connected to the living room, but the bedroom had its own sink. The arrangement worked out very well and cut our room expenses in half. The breakfast is very good; you can even have the chef cook you eggs in different fashions with a choice of half a dozen fillings...or all of them. The best thing is that the Embassy Suites is right across the street from the Tampa Convention Center. There is a bridge from the second floor to the CC, so it's literally only a 30 second walk away.
There was a mix-up at the registration desk concerning payments with my bill being secured by my friend's credit card and vice versa. However, the problem was sorted out in a polite manner to our satisfaction, though it did take some time.
After I paid I noticed I have been charge a diferent rate as of my booking with you. They had to cancelled everything. The difference was about $500. You cannot trust these people specially in Halloween weekend, everybody was partying.
Clean, well-appointed, spacious room. Comfortable bed.
The restaurant was horrible. Bad, bad $10 cocktails. Tasted like pure swamp water. Crappy menu: nothing looked even remotely tempting and the menu itself was all stained with food. Judging by the cocktails, this restaurant has no pride in itself. Ugh
The Booked.net reservation was not readily apparent to the reception staff because the first and last names had somehow been reversed.
Great location and about 1/3 of the conference hotel right across the street. Nice and spacious rooms.
Although a little worn, the hotel was very nice. I have stayed in much worse and would not avoid it because of the condition of the room, but it does need some refreshing.
It was conveniently located close to and within walking distance of the cruise ship complex from where we were taking a cruise. The breakfast was plentiful and varied.
I can not remember the last time there was such friendly and helpful staff. Every single person I came in contact with was efficient, warm, and effective.
There was nothing I did not like but the clock radio in my room had the incorrect time and I could not figure out how to change it and the ice bucket plastic was not changed daily.
We had issues with the air conditioner. When I called down to complain I was informed that this hotel was now green and that the ac could detect body warmth and that I should give it an hour to cool off. It never cooled off. Both nights our group ended up sleeping without blankets. We also did not enjoy coming home from a long day outdoors to be greated with a hot room. Also, there were several graduations at the convention center next door. The self parking garage was blocked off so our only option when arriving was to valet - which ended up being $20 each per night for 3 cars (a 2 night) stay. For the additional money that we spent on parking we may have considered staying somewhere else to stay away from the traffic. I always try to stay at Embassey Suites. These were the only two issues that I have ever had.
